El Instituto de Relaciones Culturales Mexicano - Cubanas "Flores Magón - Mella" realizó al medidodía de hoy, en un parentesis que hizo la pertinaz llovizna xalapeña -chipi-chipi-, un acto de homenaje al procer cubano y latinoamericano José Martí con motivo del CLVIII aniversario de su natalicio.
Después de colocada la ofrenda floral y realizada la guardia de honor, así como una semblanza sobre la vida y obra de Martí hecha por la maestra Celia Sánchez Reyes, Diana Rodríguez Cruz, de la escuela de bachilleres que leva el nombre del procer, declamó La niña de Guatemala del poeta homenajeado:
